De hj\u00e4lper oss att f\u00e5 en uppfattning om n\u00e5got som annars kan upplevas abstrakt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I psykiatrikern Ullakarin Nybergs Ted Talk fr\u00e5n 2020 &#8211; How to talk about suicide, inleder hon med att s\u00e4ga f\u00f6ljande, fritt \u00f6versatt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8221;<em><strong>N\u00e4r man arbetar med sj\u00e4lvmord, \u00e4r det viktigt att fokusera p\u00e5 livet. F\u00f6r n\u00e4r allt kommer omkring s\u00e5 \u00e4r det ingen som tar sitt liv f\u00f6r att de l\u00e4ngtar efter att d\u00f6 utan de g\u00f6r det f\u00f6r att de inte st\u00e5r ut med sitt lidande<\/strong><\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hon beskriver vidare hur vi kan t\u00e4nka och d\u00e4rmed agera n\u00e4r vi har n\u00e5gon omkring oss som vi misst\u00e4nker har drabbats av psykisk oh\u00e4lsa. Och som en f\u00f6ljd av sitt d\u00e5liga m\u00e5ende eventuellt har b\u00f6rjat t\u00e4nka farliga tankar. S\u00e5dana som att det f\u00f6rmodligen skulle vara b\u00e4st f\u00f6r sin omgivning om hen f\u00f6rsvann. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nu till metaforen. F\u00f6rest\u00e4ll er att den h\u00e4r m\u00e4nniskan som vi har omkring oss och som k\u00e4mpar med sitt inre m\u00e5ende har en k\u00e4nsla av att hen har ramlat ner i en grop. En djup, tr\u00e5ng och m\u00f6rk grop d\u00e4r hen upplever sig vara alldeles ensam. Omgiven av k\u00e4nslor som r\u00e4dslor, \u00e5ngest, depression och vissa fall ont om luft.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ullakarin fr\u00e5gar retoriskt; <em><strong>Vad tror ni att personen i gropen l\u00e4ngtar efter?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/em>Kan det vara undvikande? Avst\u00e5ndstagande? Irritation? Eller allm\u00e4n tystnad?&nbsp;<strong>Oh no! <\/strong>Jag reflekterar \u00f6ver den vanlig tankevurpa som omgivningen ofta g\u00f6r h\u00e4r. S\u00e5som att, hen vill s\u00e4kert vara ifred. Det finns nog n\u00e5gon annan som k\u00e4nner personen b\u00e4ttre. Vill det sig riktigt illa, men inte helt ovanligt, kanske n\u00e5gon av oss t\u00e4nker att det \u00e4r s\u00e5 trist att hen har blivit s\u00e5 l\u00e5g och isolerad.&nbsp;Jag orkar d\u00e5 inte bjuda till n\u00e5got mer&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">K\u00e4nner ni igen er? Vi l\u00e5ter bli att st\u00f6ra. Av olika anledningar. Men med metaforen gropen i \u00e5tanke s\u00e5 f\u00f6rst\u00e5r man snabbt hur oerh\u00f6rt f\u00f6r\u00f6dande det kan vara. Hur ensamt det kan k\u00e4nnas i den d\u00e4r gropen. F\u00f6rst och fr\u00e4mst i relation till sin egen situation. Men d\u00e4rtill i f\u00f6rh\u00e5llande till omgivningens agerande. K\u00e4nslan av att gropen blir allt kyligare blir tydlig. Mer skr\u00e4mmande. Efter en tid, kanske till och med uth\u00e4rdlig?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Om du g\u00e5r till dig sj\u00e4lv, vad skulle du allra helst \u00f6nska dig om du befann dig d\u00e4r nere i gropen? F\u00f6rmodligen att n\u00e5gon uppt\u00e4cker dig. Egentligen vem som helst. Att n\u00e5gon visade dig att du inte \u00e4r vare sig bortgl\u00f6md eller l\u00e4mnad \u00e5t ditt \u00f6de. Allra helst skulle vi nog \u00f6nska oss att n\u00e5gon person v\u00e5gade komma ner. S\u00e5g oss och f\u00f6r en stund delade den plats d\u00e4r vi hamnat. Fr\u00e5ga oss genuint. Vad har du varit med om?&nbsp;Hur i all sin dar hamnade du h\u00e4r?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ullakarin menar p\u00e5 att alla kan. Och att det inte handlar s\u00e5 mycket om vad vi s\u00e4ger eller g\u00f6r. Utan n\u00e5gonting \u00e4r alltid b\u00e4ttre \u00e4n ingenting. Att vi visar att vi finns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Det finns inga krav p\u00e5 oss som medm\u00e4nniskor att vi ska l\u00f6sa den drabbades problem. Det kan vi inte g\u00f6ra, n\u00e5got Ullakarin ocks\u00e5 understryker. Hon uttrycker det som s\u00e5, att det handlar mer om att visa vad som g\u00f6r livet v\u00e4rt att leva \u00e4n att ta bort det motsatta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En annan s\u00e5dan d\u00e4r bra <em>saying<\/em> under talet. Som f\u00f6r\u00f6vrigt inneh\u00e5ller m\u00e5nga bra citat, \u00e4r; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8221;Det \u00e4r inte v\u00e5ra tankar som d\u00f6dar oss, utan det \u00e4r v\u00e5ra handlingar.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Med det sagt uppmuntrar hon lyssnarna till att vara uppm\u00e4rksamma p\u00e5 sin omgivning. Upplever vi f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrade beteendem\u00f6nster hos personer omkring oss ska vi inte vara r\u00e4dda f\u00f6r att agera p\u00e5 det. S\u00e5som koncentrationssv\u00e5righeter, aptitl\u00f6shet, ledsamhet, ensamhet, alkohollukt eller viktf\u00f6r\u00e4ndring. V\u00e5ga kliva fram. V\u00e5ga visa att vi finns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c5terigen och avslutningsvis. F\u00f6rest\u00e4ll er gropen. Och st\u00e4ll fr\u00e5gan till er sj\u00e4lva; Vilken medm\u00e4nniska vill du vara till den person som har hamnat d\u00e4r nere p\u00e5 gropens botten. \u00c4r du den som tar l\u00e5nga omv\u00e4gar?
